Job Description:
  • Develop simple to complex database solutions for OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) environments.  This experience utilizing SQL/PLSQL within an enterprise-class Relational Database Management System (RDMS) with Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Analyze & functional specifications & transform OLTP datasets into analytical structures.
  • Develop complex PL/SQL scripts to perform various database related
  • Under the complex Business Processes to find the required dimensions for data analysis.
  • Design DWH architecture and Cube Processing.
  • Estimate storage requirements for an application.
  • Establish an application's security requirements during development.
  • Works with technical team to define conceptual, logical and physical data models
  • Recommends and takes action to solve database or business intelligence related problems.
  • Develops designs and scripts for the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from external sources.
  • Presentation of result oriented data analysis for decision purpose to the decision makers with the help of tools like Microsoft Power BI, SPSS and MS Excel including data models and Charts etc.
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.

TECHINCAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient in MS SQL (Functions, Procedures, SPSS, SAS, Packages etc.)
  • Proven Development Experience in Microsoft SQL 2008/2014/2016.
  • Experience working with tools like MS Power BI/ Cognos, OBIEE etc.
  • Enforced data integrity and Knowledge of processes for Data Governance using integrity constraints, DHW concepts and Kimball’s concepts.
  • Experience working with tools like Visio/ ERWIN etc.
  • Technical expertise with statistical tools and concepts like SPSS Statistics, MATLAB etc.
  • Usage of several formulae such as Index, Match, VLookup, conditional and logical formulae etc.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Use of Warehouse techniques Star Schema, Snow Flake Schema, Dimension and Fact table.
  • Use of Cubes & Rollups for making cross-tabular reports.
  • Expertise in handling errors using Exceptions.
  • Experience in working high-transacted OLTP systems.
  • Documentation of projects for Functional Requirement Spec (FRS), Use case Spec, ER-Diagram, Test Plan, and Test Script & Test Cases.
  • Have worked in fast-paced AGILE environment.
  • Highly motivated, excellent team player, enthusiastic, strong initiative and quick learner of new technologies.
  • Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
  • Creativity with an eye to develop new and innovative solutions.
