| Job Description: |
Purpose of the Position:
The Sanitation Marketing Specialist will be based in district Charsada where donor funded WASH-PATS project is being implemented. This position is expected to work in close coordination with the project team, especially the Project Manager and the PO SMU.
Major Responsibilities:
As part of the project team and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities:
- To implement the sanitation marketing strategy at field level
- Financing sanitation to meet the demand and training of Masons
- Establishment of Sanitation Marts (one in each village of the project area)
- Close Coordination with Programme team for timely implementation of Organization interventions
- Training of Potential entrepreneurs/Sanitation Business Support
- Promote Participatory Health & Hygiene Promotion
- Sustaining the created demand by supply side interventions
- Undertake field visits, and surveys in order to deliver the sanitation marketing component of proect.
- Prepare reports on the areas where Organization work can be carried out using specific tools for gathering data, prepare the evaluation phases and implement the recommendation.
- To conduct surveys and assessment in the thematic area (Sanitation Market) in different parts of program area.
- To document and design monitoring systems to see the impact of sanitation marketing and other Organization interventions.
- To design and conduct trainings for field staff and beneficiaries in the proposed interventions in the livelihood sector
- To coordinate and liaise with government line departments
- Develop, compile and regularly update the WASH data-base at the district level
- Identify the villages where sanitation activities are not taking place, and work towards ensuring that these locations are covered appropriately
- Assist the Project Manager in other tasks and perform other related duties as required by the Senior Management and other donors
- Submit weekly & monthly reports to the supervisor (Project Manager)
