We are looking for Emergency SBC Consultants with exceptional organizational skills, and experience with the ability to facilitate, communicate and coordinate between various levels of government, management and partners, and work independently in order to meet deadlines. The position is a deliverable-based assignment  


Tasks and Deliverables



  • To Support the government in the smooth functioning of cross-sectoral coordination forums, and strengthen it by identifying, developing, and maintaining partnerships and collaboration with relevant institutions.

  • To support and develop evidence-based interventions, culturally appropriate communication messages, and materials that give special attention to children and vulnerable groups living in the most disadvantaged communities in priority districts. This includes crafting important messages and using reliable sources to provide accurate information

  • Provide support, oversight, and technical guidance; to planning, use multiple communication channels and develop partnerships with CSOs and other external partners, and engage the concerned population.

  • To facilitate the capacity strengthening of the government and nongovernment partners, networks, and communities by adapting, developing, and pre-testing training material/guideless and tools.

  • To support and liaison with CSOs, Government, and UN Agencies to collect collate and report data, contribute to reports, conduct monitoring visits, and document results & lessons learned. This is to detect new behaviors and rumors and reinforce positive behaviors.

  • To conduct Random supervisory monitoring visits for the spot check and any technical assistance and gather monitoring information from social mobilizers, spokespersons, and audiences.

  • To develop, aid, and enable in implementation of innovative practices, approaches, and context-appropriate technologies aimed to institutionalize and share best practices.

  • Any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor


  Essential Requirements



  • An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Mass Communication or Social Sciences will be preferred.

  • A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.

  • A minimum of 03 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector specifically in the field of communication, demand generation, risk communication, community engagement, community-based social mobilization, and evidence generation is required.

  • Relevant experience conducting, managing, and designing fieldwork and data collection for research projects.

  • Fluency in English and Urdu is required. Knowledge of local languages is an asset

  • Excellent written English communication skills, with a focus on quantitative data analysis and descriptive reports for a diverse audience will be an asset.
