| Job Description: |
SZABIST Islamabad is looking for a skilled & proactive Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable and willing to contribute to make SZABIST a better place to work.
He/She should be highly efficient, organized and approachable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software source codes.
- Integrate new software components in functional (existing) software system.
- Develop and implement software verification and validation plans.
- Optimization of database queries, for quick process and report generations.
- Assist in server side management and implementation of security.
- Provide technical support and maintenance to all developed applications.
- Assist in analyzing, designing and development of new/existing projects.
- Development, maintenance and updates of official websites.
- Manage opening and closing semester activities and generating semester reports.
- Management and maintenance of Zabdesk web and desktop application.
- To ensure the backups of the application and ensure that all softwares are performing satisfactorily.
- Any other task assigned by the management.
The job requires proficiency in the following tools & technologies:
- Legacy Development tools ASP Classic and VB 6.
- Microsoft SQL Server.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and Query writing for customized reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Crystal Reports (CR) and hands on experience on other reporting softwares.
- ASP.Net, MVC Based Development tools.
- Strong user interface designing skills and ability to follow quality coding practices with clear and well-documented code.
- Proven experience of working on HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Javascripts.
- Sound knowledge of Angular JS, AJAX, MySQL.
- Server Management.
- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt with latest technologies and tools.
- Up-to-date with the latest software trends, techniques and technologies.
