Responsibilities

• Support in the following areas: LAN management and day to day network administration tasks.


• Set up accounts and workstations on-site and remote locations.


• Periodic updates of windows and network security updates, Anti-virus updates etc.


• Ensuring a safe and secure working environment, taking the necessary measures to keep the networks/workstations free from viruses.


• Day to day hardware and software troubleshooting, including any necessary hardware servicing as and when required.


• Setup and installation of software on end user systems.


• Ensuring individual users data is kept secure and confidential.


• Ensure all hardware and software license agreements are fulfilled.


• Ensuring reasonable precautions are taken to guard against data loss or corruption or damage to hardware.


• Monitor performance and maintain systems, according to the requirements


• Collaborating with and supporting the other members of the IT Team around the world with the challenges they face day to day.


• Creation and maintenance of IT related documentation for all systems.


• Creating and improving IT processes to more efficiently provide enhanced, but consistent services to the business. Knowledge of the following technologies will be a plus point.


•  VMWare virtualized environments


• A mixed Linux and Windows server environment


• Storage systems and networks (SAN)


• Network infrastructure (both on site and inter site - e.g. VPN, Firewall and Routers)


• Backups and disaster recovery


• Monitoring and Alerting.

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering.


• Experience 6 months to 1 year.  


• High level of hardware troubleshooting experience


• Good team player attitude and necessary inter-personnel skills to provide a good internal customer service


• Ability to work independently.


• Good analytical skills.


• Excellent communication skills.
